Allow the blood specimen to clot. Centrifuge. Separate serum.
Reference Interval
Negative (<200 IU/mL)
Unacceptable Conditions
- Samples that are lipemic or hemolyzed are not acceptable for testing.
- Samples that are obviously contaminated are not acceptable for testing.
- Plasma is not acceptable for testing.
Remarks
- A titer will be reflexed for positive ASO results.
